The Comfort Foods Collection contains an invitation, the program, a list of actors, the grant, a copy of the play script, and pages from the cookbooks; all relating to the production of Comfort Foods, as performed at the MSU Libraries on October 30, 2012.

The collection consists of correspondence, notes on cookbooks, collecting cookbooks, her biography, newspaper articles she wrote, and photographs. Within the newspaper clippings, is the advertisement Mary Ross Reynolds answered for her first editorial job in Springfield, Mass.

Scope and Contents

The Selma Hollander recipe book is a 3-ring binder of dessert recipes written, taped, or laid into an art and literature notebook. Recipes represent popular mid-20th century American desserts such as cakes, bars, breads, and muffins. Art and literature notes appear to be written and typed class notes with occasional ink sketches analyzing artistic form, genre, and particular artists' distinguishing features.
